Overview:

EDC is seeking an experienced ABT Solution Expert with extensive knowledge in the transportation industry, specializing in transaction processing, particularly Automated Fare Collection (AFC), clearing house technology, and Account-Based Ticketing (ABT). The ideal candidate will manage both the technical and functional aspects of the ABT project with RTA, ensuring seamless integration and implementation of ABT solutions from our partners. Experience with EMV-based financial transaction processing is a significant advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional Expertise:
    • Provide in-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including emerging trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the unique requirements of ABT projects, particularly those involving EMV-based physical and virtual card transactions.
    • Demonstrate expertise in financial transaction processing, especially in the context of ABT, AFC systems, and clearing house technology.
    • Lead ABT & AFC system implementations, from design through deployment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to address software and hardware needs associated with AFC technology.
    • Oversee the development and integration of clearing house technology, ensuring secure and efficient financial transactions.
    • Design and implement large transit projects involving multiple public transport operators (Metro, Bus, Tram, Marine, Taxi, Parking), retail merchants, and service providers.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of security and data privacy standards, such as PCI DSS Certification, Customer Data Security standards, and DESC standards.
    • Participate in technical discussions with customers and partners to provide input on solution design and implementation.
  • Non-Functional Expertise:
    • Follow detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
    • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budget constraints, and quality standards.
    • Provide regular project progress updates to the Project Manager, addressing issues or risks proactively.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including transportation agencies, financial institutions, and technology vendors.
    • Ensure clear communication and coordination to meet project objectives.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges during project implementation.
    • Establish and execute robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of financial transactions through AFC systems.
    • Conduct comprehensive validation of the ABT Solution and clearing house technology to ensure accuracy and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the transportation industry.
  • Strong expertise in ABT, AFC systems, and clearing house technology.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
