Role & Responsibilities:  

Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sales revenue and achieve assigned targets within the banking, payments, and financial services sector. 
  • Own and manage the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, customer engagement, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure. 
  • Identify new business opportunities while expanding wallet share within existing bank, issuer, and processor accounts. 
  • Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM discipline. 
  • Improve deal conversion through effective value articulation, competitive positioning, and executive engagement. 

Solution Selling & Domain Expertise: 

  • Lead solution-based selling of EMV payment cards, centralized and distributed card personalization, and related secure payment services. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer card issuance models, operational workflows, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Translate technical and operational capabilities into clear business value propositions focused on security, scalability, compliance, and cost efficiency. 
  • Support customer discussions involving Cards, Operations, IT, Digital Banking, Compliance, and Procurement stakeholders. 

Relationship Management & Market Intelligence:

  • Build and manage senior-level relationships with decision-makers across banking and fintech organizations. 
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in alignment with company policies, risk frameworks, and margin objectives. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments impacting card issuance and payment solutions. 
  • Represent EDC at relevant banking, payments, and fintech events, exhibitions, and industry forums. 

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Technology, Legal, Finance, and Delivery to ensure accurate scoping, seamless execution, and successful customer onboarding. 
  • Act as the customer advocate internally, ensuring alignment between commercial commitments and delivery capabilities.

Candidate Requirements:  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Management, or a related discipline. 
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage. 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales within the payments, card solutions, or banking technology sector, preferably in the MEA region. 
  • Proven track record of selling to banks, issuers, processors, fintech’s, or other regulated financial institutions. 
  • Strong understanding of the payment card ecosystem, including EMV standards, card issuance, and personalization models. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
